Honors Program Mission

The Honors Program Scholarship

在你大四的最后一个学期,一个特殊的全额学费荣誉项目奖学金.

Eligibility requirements:

  • First-time, 全日制荣誉课程:符合资格的学生,从第一学期开始参加荣誉课程
  • Completion of at least 5 of the 6 required Honors Program courses by the end of first semester senior year; must be on track to complete all 6 courses by end of senior year
  • A cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 at the end of junior year
  • 有望在连续8个学期(4年)内毕业,没有任何纪律处分

Qualifying for the Honors Program

荣誉课程的入学是通过邀请,并基于以下标准:

First Year and Transfer Students

  • 3.5 GPA or higher
  • 1170 combined SAT scores or ACT equivalent*

*GMercyU不要求学生提交标准化考试成绩. In lieu of SAT or ACT scores, 你可以提交一份老师的推荐信,也可以提交一份写作样本——一篇你已经为高中作业写过的代表你最好作品的论文或文章. Please submit your teacher recommendation to:

Completion Requirements

一旦你被荣誉课程录取,你将完成六门课程. If you achieve a 3.0 GPA in your Honors courses and a 3.33 overall GPA in your undergraduate degree program, 你将在毕业典礼前的荣誉大会上受到表彰, 你的成绩单和文凭会显示你从荣誉课程毕业.

因为所有的荣誉课程都满足大学的通识教育要求, except for Signature Seminars, 你不需要选修任何额外的课程就能毕业, 你将获得通识教育和荣誉学分.

Honors Program Courses

  • Dialectic: philosophy, religious studies, history
